The Factory is designed and governed to support WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance. It does not claim that any site is automatically compliant.
Conformance is a shared responsibility. The Factory supplies tested components, author guardrails, and content guidance; each agency remains responsible for the content, third-party integrations, and editorial decisions made on top of that foundation. Section 508 alignment is treated as a companion obligation to WCAG 2.2 AA, not a separate program.
Every approved component carries accessibility review dates and testing evidence. Baseline automated checks run at soft deployment; keyboard and assistive-technology review, and content accessibility review, follow before release candidate sign-off. Known limitations and exceptions are documented rather than hidden, with an accessibility statement and a reporting path for issues discovered after launch.
